Accredited with the Institute of
Leadership and Management,
Edexcel and City and Guilds, the
Let’s Do Business Group Skills
Academy was established to
train apprentices. The take-up
has been fantastic with each
young person receiving on the
job training within LDBG head-
quarters or in the workplace with
partner employers from local
business communities.
It is a flexible programme with
the employer specifying exactly
what they require to help the
business be more successful.
The academy team then find
the candidate who will fit the
business requirements. This
may be full or part-time with the
hours to suit business needs.
If businesses wish to take
advantage of the government’s
wage incentive of £1,500 the
apprentice needs a contract for
12 months for a minimum of 30
hours per week with a wage of
£80.40 a week.
Apprentices are provided with a
'Learning and Development
Coach' who oversees the whole
programme of skills development
and an assessor who makes
sure a challenging learning
programme is in place which
will have the desired impact on
your business.
Stephen King, Head of Training
and Skills, said:
The academy has been so
successful that we are now
launching a Leadership Skills
Academy which will provide
Institute and Leadership
Management accredited
bespoke programmes for
visionary team leaders who
want to focus on business
development and growth.
Managers undertaking these
programmes will have a learning
and development coach, the
opportunity to attend key note
lectures and access to a wide
range of resources as a useful
tool kit for your continuing
professional development.
If you would like to arrange
a meeting to discuss our
programmes please contact
or phone 0844 415 2272.
