There are frequent reports in the
media about the problems SMEs
are having accessing funding
from high street lenders. The
problem is very real and Let’s
Do Business Finance has been
filling the gap.
The team has lent over £5
million to businesses, creating
or safeguarding over 1,200 jobs.
From start-ups to established
businesses, the investment
experts provide a wide range
of routes to finance with
individual lending opportunities
up to £50,000.
•
Over £1.5 million has been
lent to support established
businesses with growth
potential, with 2013/14 being
the busiest lending year.
•
For anyone considering taking
the plunge and becoming their
own boss, the government’s
Start-Up Loan programme gives
budding entrepreneurs access
to low cost funding and sup-
port from experienced business
mentors. The scheme offers
flexible pay back terms on
loans that average £6,500,
mentoring support and a host
of other discounted benefits,
all designed to give a helping
hand to start-up businesses.
Since the scheme started, more
than 300 Start-Up loans have
been agreed. It is open to anyone
over the age of 18 who has the
ambition and enthusiasm to
launch their own business as well
as the right to live and work in
the UK.
•
Since 2012, over 3,300 people
have been accepted onto the
New Enterprise Allowance
scheme, with nearly 2,000
confirmed new businesses
starting and over 2,000 loans
paid out. The programme is
available to clients who have
been claiming Job Seeker’s
Allowance for six months and
want to start a business with
the potential for future growth.
Once the business plan is
agreed and the business
starts, the new entrepreneur
can also access a loan of up
to £2,500 and continue to
receive support for six
months from the mentor.
